Cross of Iron
Here are some model figurines I put together back in the mid-nineties. This one is a Dragon figure of Sgt. Steiner of the movie Cross of Iron. I like the Ppsh-41 he carries. Great flick.
SS Officer, March-April 1945. Austro-Italo border area.
This is a Verlinden figure of a well-known photograph of Der Fuhrer SS officers surrendering to British troops in a mountainous area. They were wearing a mix of tropical and wool items. This is what the photo would have looked like in color.
Ardennes, 1944, SS Enlisted-man
This is another Verlinden figure. It is also from a famous series of photographs showing SS enlisted-men looking over a knocked US scout car during the initial Ardennes attack. In the photograph as in the photo the German has a captured 45-pistol and a pack of Lucky Strikes. In the photos, he also had a trench knife clipped to his rain slicker which broke off of my figure. Shucks.
SS Officer, initial Russian Invasion
Verlinden figure. He wears the camoflague smock that was issued in various patterns to the SS during WWII. He has an interesting haughty look to him.
