Period drawings of Friedrich Ludwig Scharf who fought on the estern Front for the German army. Scharf had a good eye for uniformology of ther day. Charles Wooley has compiled Scharf's original drawings into this large book. Scharf died in 1965, when all things military was not popular in Germany. Great period and color plates.

The German Wehrmacht II
This volume is the second, on the Wehrmacht, by Dr. Spencer Coil. I also have the first volume. This book is a visual feast of the uniforms, weaponry and men of the German Army of WWII. Being an amatuer uniformologist, I delight in taking a magnifying glass to study all of the details of each and every sharp photo. All of the photos are from private collections, so have not been published before. The pages are slick, quality paper and the clarity of the photos is outstanding.
US personal items of WWII
This volume is another fine addition to the Schiffer Publishing line. As identifies this publisher; the pictures are detailed, carefully chosen and informative. Personal items of the US GI of WWII are covered. Everything from condoms, cigarettes, letters, lighters and musical gear is covered in detailed period and contemporary photos. For the collector and historian.
