Russian WWII Uniform
This uniform, equipment and weaponry are all from WWII Russia. The helmet is the earlier model 1936 that was supposedly replaced by the m39 and 40 models, but was worn well into the war. I have seen photographs of this particular model being worn through 1943. Our mannequin is armed with a m91/30 bolt action rifle. His gasmask is slung to his left side. Also to his left side he has a grenade carrier for the Russian stick grenades. Straps from his earlier model backpack hold up his belt and moisin nagant pouches. This is how the Russian infantry soldier would have looked during the initial German Blitzkrieg in 1941.
Russian WWII Motorized Officer
Russian Motorized officer wearing the m43 tunic and shoukder boards. He is armed with the ppsh41 sub-machinegun. His mapcase is slung over his left arm. He wears the earlier pattern m39 combat helmet that underwent changes to become the m40 later. He has a glass canteen with cloth carrier. The pouch for his drum magazine is to his right side. This officer looks like the Russian soldiers observed from 1944 till the end of the war.
