"Rooting out Partisans in a Balkan Village". German Army police unit makes a quick hit and run attack against a village harboring partisans fighting against the German and Italian occupation. The NCO in charge monitors. Grenades are thrown into the homes and storage areas to disrupt the partisan and villager's supplies. Summer 1943. www.ironlegions.weebly.com
Two more plastic Italian North African theater soldiers from the "Waterloo 1815" line. One is carrying a M30 Breda light machinegun. He wears a pith helmet and is shirtless. He is a paratrooper of the "Folgore" as he has their particular ammunition pouches and black jump books. The other figure is a Bersagliere, he wears the red fez as a service cap. He is armed with a M38a Beretta sub-machinegun...though it looks more like the model 42 variation. He wears the M1912 ankle boot pattern in natural brown color. The truck is of the Forces of Valor series in 1/32 scale. It is German, but could be in this North African vignette quite easily. The Italian camp is being raided by British Long Distance Reece vehicles. The Italian's scramble to thwart the attack. 1942, North Africa. The back ground is from the internet.
